Keep Your Head – Keep the Faith

2 Timothy 4:1–8

1. Live in the light of His appearing

• Christ will return as Judge. (2 Tim 4:1⁠)
• His return gives urgency to today.
• Long for His appearing. (2 Tim 4:8⁠)

2. Preach the Word

• Don’t soften uncomfortable truth. (2 Tim 4:2⁠)
• Don’t exchange truth for what feels good.
• Test everything against Scripture. (1 Thess 5:20–21⁠)

3. Speak truth with the right heart

• Correct, rebuke and encourage. (2 Tim 4:2⁠)
• Be patient—not self-righteous.
• Seek restoration, not vindication.

4. Keep the faith

• Expect hardship. (2 Tim 4:5⁠)
• Fight the fight. Finish the race.
• Everything is grace. (2 Tim 4:7–8⁠)

Application: Keep your head

• Exercise self-control in everything. (2 Tim 4:5⁠)
• Don’t get lost in arguments.
• Stay faithful to the Word—and to Christ.
