Ephesians 5:15–20
1. Walk Wisely With a Transparent Faith
- Wisdom means living as children of light with a transparent faith. (Eph 5:15–17)
- True wisdom grows from the fear of the Lord. (Prov 9:10)
- Christians discern truth by steadily returning to God’s Word.
2. Be Filled With the Spirit — A Command We Receive
- “Be filled” is a command of grace—God fills, and we stay open to Him. (Eph 5:18)
- Spirit-filling both empowers and flows from wise living.
- Instead of other influences, believers yield their lives to the Spirit’s leading.
3. Worship in Spiritual Warfare
- Singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs lifts our gaze toward God. (Eph 5:19)
- Gratitude becomes a practice of trust in God’s larger story. (Eph 5:20)
- Lament and thanksgiving can stand side by side.
Application: Living Faithfully in Overwhelming Times
- Practise steady worship rhythms—singing, Scripture, prayer—even when the world feels chaotic. (Ps 42:5)
- Seek and stay in community—shared encouragement helps resist fear and isolation. (Gal 6:2)
- Let Scripture anchor your perspective when society is polarized and voices are loud. (2 Tim 3:16)
